Another day down... I cant believe how long we've been here already.
Britta turned 7 weeks old today.
She had her surgery the day after she turned 3 weeks old, so tomorrow will make 4 weeks since surgery.
She is still on the nitro patch, zantac, they added captapril and upped her Reglan dose.
She is still not eating enough and still not keeping it all down. She had another GI consult this morning. They've decided to start her on Gabapentin tonight. It is typically used as a pain reliever, but they are hoping it will calm Britta and her stomach so that they can increase the volume she is able to take and help keep it down. The OT said that when it works, it typically works immediately, so we're hoping to see marked improvement with tomorrows bottle feedings. *fingers crossed*
For now, shes pretty grunty and squirmy and miserable this evening. Hoping for a better day tomorrow!

  2. Love and prayers...looking forward to the day when the only thing Britta has to cope with is the nicknames Squirrel and Peanut.
